GeoRecall Privacy Policy

1. Introduction GeoRecall (the "App"), developed by CyberTek Dynamics, is a universal location-memory utility. We are committed to protecting your privacy through a "Local-First" data philosophy. This policy explains how we handle your location data and our compliance with Google Play’s Data Safety requirements.
2. Core Privacy Philosophy: Local-First Storage Unlike traditional navigation or tracking apps, GeoRecall does not store your movements or saved spots on external servers.
Encrypted Local Database: All saved locations, custom labels, and categories are stored in a secure, local database encrypted with SQLCipher. This data resides solely on your mobile device.
Zero Remote Access: CyberTek Dynamics does not have access to, nor do we collect, your specific coordinates or saved history. Your physical world remains yours alone.
3. Information We Collect and Use
Precise Location Data: To provide the core functionality of marking and navigating back to spots, the App processes Fine (GPS) and Coarse (Network-based) location data.
High-Accuracy Logic: The App utilizes a high-accuracy retry loop to ensure the most precise coordinates possible. This processing happens in real-time and is used only to populate your local database at the moment of saving.
In-App Purchases: We use the Google Play Billing Library to manage the Premium upgrade.
Transactions are processed entirely by Google Play. We only receive a "Purchase Token" to verify your access. We do not see or store your financial details.
No Advertising: GeoRecall is a premium utility. We do not use AdMob or any other advertising SDKs, and we do not collect or share your Advertising ID.
4. Device Permissions To function correctly, GeoRecall requires the following:
Location (Fine/Coarse): Essential for capturing your current coordinates and calculating directions.
Biometrics (Optional): If enabled in your settings, the App uses system-level biometric prompts to lock your location history. Your biometric data is handled by the operating system and is never accessible to the App.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties We do not sell, trade, or share your location history. We only interact with:
Google Play Services: For App updates, security verification, and In-App Billing.
Google Maps SDK: To render mini-maps in your history list and provide address lookups. This data is processed as per Google’s standard Privacy Policy.
6. User Control, Retention, and Deletion
Manual Deletion: You can delete individual pins or categories at any time within the History screen.
Clear Cache: The Settings menu provides a "Clear Cache" option to wipe temporary map tiles and address lookups without affecting your saved pins.
App Uninstallation: Uninstalling GeoRecall or clearing its storage through Android system settings will permanently and irretrievably delete your encrypted database and all saved locations.
7. Changes to This Policy We may update this policy to reflect changes in our App or legal requirements. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date.
